SUNNYVALE, Calif., August 18, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Trimble Ventures, by Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB), an enterprise venture capital fund, today announced its investment in Sabanto, Inc. Sabanto is a US-based agricultural technology company focused on autonomous workflows while throughout the agricultural cycle and which is offered as Farming as a Service (FaaS). This investment supports Trimble Ventures’ mission to invest in early-stage and growth-stage companies that accelerate innovation, digital transformation and sustainability across industries. Leveraging a fleet of smaller 60 and 90 hp tractors, the company ploughed, planted, seeded, weeded, applied and mowed autonomously across Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Texas. The company’s advanced mission control platform played a pivotal role in deploying multiple systems for several days of uninterrupted operation and promoting the FaaS concept by planting more than 750 acres of corn and soybeans in one season with a single 60 HP tractor.
