Online services hit by outages – Research Snipers

Xbox owners who have tried to access console or store online services for the past few hours have often received an error message. Services had to deal with massive outages. The problem now seems to be resolved. Since last night, some players have been reporting issues accessing Xbox services. It was temporarily not possible to access the cloud gaming service.

Additionally, the Microsoft Store was also affected, so purchases could no longer be processed. This also includes DLC content, in-app purchases, and accessories. Additionally, Game Pass and Live Gold subscriptions could not be purchased or managed.

Issues occurred on multiple devices

Some Xbox users were unable to access their accounts and only saw a sign-in failure message. The problem would have occurred regardless of the device used. It was also not possible to connect with the smartphone. At times, major Xbox network services were affected, preventing players from launching digital games. It is not known what caused the nuisance.

A server outage was likely responsible for the issues. Microsoft seems to have found the cause after a few hours and was immediately working on a solution. The official status page suggests that services are now back to normal. All Xbox Live services appear to be active at this time. However, some players may still experience connectivity issues. The restrictions should disappear in the next few hours, allowing full access to services later in the day.
