J&K CID Launches Online Services Portal for J&K Citizens

Jammu, March 29: The Criminal Investigation Department of Jammu and Kashmir Police has launched a portal for citizens to report cases and information about criminal, illegal or suspicious activities in their neighborhood.

The portal is a key initiative for preventing crime and enhancing peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir and can be accessed at https://cid.jk.gov.in

Through this portal, citizens can now report information about criminal, illegal or suspicious activities in their neighborhood.

The portal also allows citizens to share information anonymously.

It states that CID records every instance of threat or intimidation towards any person directly or indirectly (by phone call, WhatsApp message, email or social media or poster or web portal or any other mode).

Citizens are urged to report any bullying, preferably with details such as the date and time of the phone call, the threat conveyed, the phone number, including the virtual number used by the criminal, the application used, etc

it is also useful if the voice or conversation of the criminal is recorded, which the CID will obtain separately to compare it with the voice library in order to identify the criminal.

The portal also has a function to search for information on the progress of passport and service checks.

The portal was dedicated by Director General of Police Dilbag Singh to the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir who wish to promote peace and the rule of law.
