Integrate online services with RAS, e-UNNAT, one-stop-shop system: Div Com leads government services

SRINAGAR: As UT of Jammu and Kashmir gradually shifts to e-office and online service mechanism, Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Pandurang K Pole today ordered all ministries to integrate services and Online programs with Rapid Assessment System (RAS), UNNAT E-Portals and One Stop Shop System.

At a meeting here, Div Com asked officers from all departments to expedite the linking of their services and schemes on portals so that the general public and beneficiaries can easily access their websites at one point and can enroll in schemes to receive the benefits.

While emphasizing the importance of online services, Div Com said the online system saves valuable time while dealing with office work on the side, brings transparency and accountability, and eliminates harassment.

To help the public who need clarification or have questions when accessing the portals or about the programs, Div Com has asked agents to provide toll-free numbers and regular phone numbers on the portals.

He said the portals will provide website links to redirect users to relevant departments.

To disseminate information to the public regarding programs and services, Pole directed all departments to install permanent hoardings at district and Tehsil premises to provide concise information on programs, eligibility and benefits. so that as many people as possible are aware.

He also ordered the Labor Department to install palisades at the labor market in Srinagar and other districts, in addition to creating communal facilities like drinking water and toilets in those places.

Meanwhile, Div Com requested a DC and HoD compliance report from all departments within ten days.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, Director of Tourism, Director of Kashmir Health Services, Director of Urban Local Bodies as well as senior officials from Education, Rural Sanitation, PDD, ‘EPS, youth services and sports, colleges, social welfare, information and other departments.
