From “budol” to “burol”: this funeral services company is the latest to join the e-commerce game
E-commerce in the Philippines has increased dramatically in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic – and a funeral service company is the latest to join its ranks.
Death care company St. Peter Life Chapels unveiled its new online store on Monday, where customers can purchase memorial plans, “add to cart” and pay online, just as you would with any site. Electronic commerce web.
Buyers can simply register on the website, view the brand’s package offerings, and add their preferred package to their online shopping cart. They will need to complete a life plan application – their contract – upon payment.
St. Peter Life Chapels offers two types of plans on their website: the traditional plan and the cremation plan.
The traditional plan offers six life plans, while the cremation plan offers two.
For example, the St. Anne’s Plan offers a four-day memorial service, a casket, and payment of the unpaid balance if you die paying off the plan before the age of 60.
The company launched its website online as part of its #YODO – “You only die once” campaign, a play based on the popular acronym #YOLO which stands for “You only live once”.
They hoped that with the launch of their online service, consumers would enjoy the hassle-free experience and plan ahead by adding their memorial plans “to the basket”.
