DM Shopian Launches Online Certificate Obtaining Services – India Education | Latest Education News | Global education news
SHOPIAN,: In accordance with the instructions of Lieutenant Governor J&K, to improve service delivery via digital mode, Shopian District Magistrate (DM) Sachin Kumar Vaishya today launched 7 online services in the conference room of the mini Arhama secretariat, here.
These online services include issuance of character certificate, dependent certificate, legal heir certificate, marriage certificate, income certificate, certificate OBC / RBA / ALC and SC / ST certificate in the four Tehsils of Shopian district.
Residents of Shopian District can now request these services online and will be issued digitally signed certificates online. The service was designed and developed using NIC’s Service Plus framework.
The DM after the launch of the program, said that these services can be used by individuals on a portal where they have to register and then fill out the respective application form along with all the required documents. In addition, the communication will be by e-mail alert and subsequently, a digitally signed certificate will be issued to the applicant.
The portal also allows the applicant to check the online status of the application at any time and also upload digitally signed certificates.
The portal is designed and developed by the district IT manager, NIC Shopian, Ishfaq Ahmed and his team. The portal will improve transparency and efficiency by bringing about the issuance of certificates within a limited timeframe.
Vaishya praised the efforts of the District IT Manager, NIC Shopian and his team as well as the NIC Service Plus team for bringing these 7 services online in a short period of time.
