Other Department of Industries online services that will be covered by Aadhaar Voluntary Authentication are Mortgage Approval, Possession Application, Change of Incorporation and Construction Time Extension, said a notice from the Department released. last week. The purposes for which the Aadhaar number and related information and the manner in which it is requested will be clearly communicated to applicants, the document states.
No service or benefit will be denied to the applicant due to failed Aadhaar based authentication. The Aadhaar number will not be displayed anywhere and it will be stored securely in the Aadhaar data vault, he added.
The Unique Identification Authority of India, or UIDAI, is a statutory authority responsible for issuing a 12-digit Aadhaar to all residents of India.
