Delhi government’s Department of Industries has been cleared by UIDAI to accept Aadhaar for its eight online services, including freehold conversion and online payment of dues and claims, officials said on Monday. .

Other Department of Industries online services that will be covered by Aadhaar Voluntary Authentication are Mortgage Approval, Possession Application, Change of Incorporation and Construction Time Extension, said a notice from the Department released. last week.

Individuals requesting these services online will be asked to provide consent for their Aadhaar details.

The purposes for which the Aadhaar number and related information and the manner in which it is requested will be clearly communicated to applicants, the document states.

No service or benefit will be denied to the applicant due to failed Aadhaar based authentication.

The Aadhaar number will not be displayed anywhere and it will be stored securely in the Aadhaar data vault, he added.
